hour by hour, to reveal to me
your eye, your personal window
where you let me peer in.
I can see your mind, the warped reflections
of your reality that glisten there,
and deeper still I can see,
something else, someone else.
Your secret demon pierces my gaze,
his hateful, mocking grin a challenge
to all that dare to gaze back, gloating.

A semi-poetic and debatably inspirational personal account of my struggles with life, depression, anxiety disorder, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

Night has always been when I am most active, when my thoughts race and burst, colliding like angry meteors and overwhelming me in the worst ways. My head whirling and heavy with the burden, sleep is my only escape from myself, the only way to quiet the shrieks and sobs and fists that they form, but it often escapes me.
